Crime and Intelligence Analyst for the Garland Police Department. Facilitated the transfer of crime tracking data from Excel to Access database. Assisted with re-districting project and created a comprehensive district map book and full street index for the officers and communications dispatch. Assisted in creating a public mobile app for the Garland Police Department. Improved and re-designed various crime analysis and intelligence reports to make them easier to read and also utilized new eye-catching designs. Improved and created new heat map designs to assist with crime mapping and patrol activity to visually target crime hot spots and police activity in those areas.

Security for guests, associates, and property. Tracked, logged, and processed all lost and found for the resort. Assisted guests and associates with first-aid and medical calls. Conducted safety and fire hazard checks. Documented all incidents and injuries on the resort.In addition to standard duties, created a new multi-faceted database for lost and found, employee access, directory, shift log, equipment tracking, and report templates. Also re-mapped the entire resort with all emergency equipment and fire access locations. Created a prototype mobile app for the resort.

Logging and properly classifying incoming emergency and non-emergency calls. Routing emergency calls to the correct dispatching which included all unincorporated areas of San Mateo County and contract cities.Assisted local law enforcement agencies with updated beat maps and created a comprehensive reference mobile app.

January 1996 – May 1996Attended the New Orleans Police Municipal Training Academy and graduated as a Louisiana POST certified law enforcement officer.May 1996 – October 1998Assigned to the Eighth Police District in patrol which comprises the French Quarter and Central Business District of New Orleans. Worked major events such as Mardi Gras, Super Bowl XXXI, French Quarter Festival and many others. Handled major and minor crime scenes and investigations.October 1998 – July 2001Assigned to the Eighth District Investigative Unit as the newly created COMSTAT (Crime Analysis) Officer for the Eighth District. Transitioned the crime analysis process from DOS programs and pin maps to Word, Excel, and Access using computer generated crime maps. Received a Letter of Commendation for the contributions.July 2001 – August 2005Appointed to Technical Services Bureau as the N.O.P.D. website webmaster. Maintained the website, processed and forwarded incoming site emails. Pioneered new online reporting system for minor incidents. Processed all online reports and files and forwarded completed reports to the Record Room.August 2005 – June 2014Assigned to the Third Police District as Crime Analysis (COMSTAT) Officer. On August 29, 2005, Hurricane Katrina struck New Orleans in one of the worst national disasters in United States history. Helped with rescue operations despite minimal direction, supplies and food. Extremely chaotic environment but maintained honor, integrity, and work ethic and was awarded the Katrina Service Pin for contributions during the disaster. Afterward, rebuilt the district crime analysis process from scratch which lead all eight districts.June 2014 – June 2016Assigned to the Eighth District as the Crime Analysis (COMSTAT) Officer and made more improvements to the crime analysis process for one of the busiest and most visited areas of the City of New Orleans. Retired in good standing in June of 2016 with over 20 years of service.
