CaseIntel brought me on board to help design and develop the user interface for a digital home media hub and commercially located digital kiosks. Customers would interact via a touch screen on the kiosks and a remote type device on the home media hub. I primarily used Adobe Flex/Flash with ActionScript 3 to design and develop the interactive front-end. I also assisted in integrating into the Oracle database back-end.

I started to work as a freelance designer, primarily to work on a large project for the George H.W. Bush Library. I worked with a fellow designer in layout of photography, graphical elements and typography along with LCD displays and presidential memorabilia. We work to design a cohesive flow of elements in a 3-D space so that the viewer can easily follow information along with the visual impact of each exhibit. I also work on design projects for local businesses.

I worked in the communications department under a director to produce all marketing material for each of the 10 ministries associated with the church. I worked with a mixture of digital printing and offset printing depending on budget for that particular ministry. I also facilitated weekend services as a Audio Visual Coordinator, overseeing a team of 8 volunteers. Organizing schedules and maintaining and training individuals on professional equipment.

I worked with three other designers and two editors to design and print internal pieces for eight different departments at a large church of about 10,000 in attendance and 100 employees. We worked hand in hand with our in house off-set pressmen to color proof and produce the best results. We produced weekly newsletters, promo materials, multi-page catalogs, branding, and special event signage. I also was paid as a Sound Engineer to mix weekend services which would range from small ensembles to a full 35 piece orchestra and 90 person choir.
