Previously BBC Project Canvas, YouView is a joint venture between BBC, ITV, Channel 4, Channel 5, Arqiva, BT and TalkTalk, to develop the next generation of free TV by combining Freeview with Internet and OD services. Working in a Kanban based agile environment, I was tasked with architecting and developing various sections of the main UI to perform on resource constrained Set-Top Boxes.Contracted by the company on a rolling 3 month basis, over a 3 year period.Lord Sugar commenting on our Kanban Board full of post-it notes was quite memorable: "What's this, you wallpapering the wall or something???"
