Never one for sitting around I was MD of Match Recruitment in Cumbernauld between 1994 - 1998. The agency was founded with a business partner, grown over 5 years and dominated the local market place for the majority of that time. The agency was sold to a national agency in late 1998.I went on to work with the Manpower group. I established the first Managed agent solution in Scotland (Sun Microsystems) rationalising a supply base of 32 recruitment agencies to a handful of suppliers, all managed and driven by a single interface - Manpower. In my time at Manpower I win 2 awards.Manpower – ‘Outstanding Contribution for 2001 Award’Sun Microsystems – ‘Meritorious Award for Global Supplier of the Year 2000’ My time with Sun and Manpower was excellent, I learned so much moving from a small independent to the largest recruitment company in the world at the time.In late 2003 major changes in the board at Manpower, a new direction and a change in structure convinced me it was time to move on. As Regional Director for Scotland with a £32m portfolio of accounts I could see no greater opportunity within the business that I would aspire towards and decided to move on.I was approached by Pertemps (Scotland) a small independent franchise with an office in Glasgow’s East end and Edinburgh city centre, chartered with developing and growing the business. Having spent a few years working hard with an exceptional team we became one of the fastest growing recruitment companies in Scotland. The team I managed was the largest contributor to the business growth in 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007.In late 2007 I left Pertemps to set up my own business -Now it is EASYRECRUIT, simple techniques, strategy and direction.
