Completed all 5 goals in the marketing/public relations section of the 525-student school's strategic plan, including leading the school through a strategic messaging and rebranding process, redesigning and restructuring the website and all digital communications, and developing a comprehensive marketing/PR program resulting in increased exposure across channels and enhanced awareness in the community. Led the creation of new and enhanced marketing materials across platforms while also revitalizing and engaging a Board-level committee around strategic marketing and advancement efforts. Assisted with schoolwide strategic initiatives around recruitment, fundraising, facilities and security. Built the case for and managed robust marketing budget; also managed outside vendors such as designers and printers.

Served as a content creator and manager for HOTELS magazine, www.hotelsmag.com and HOTELS magazine's social media channels. This included idea generation, in-depth reporting, educated analysis and carefully crafted writing, along with technological expertise. Selected channels for content distribution and managed the editorial process of producing written, audio and video content. While I covered all areas of the global hotel industry, I specialized in food and beverage coverage (trends & concepts, menus & dayparts, marketing, design, equipment & supplies). Also assisted with content creation for related hospitality industry trade publications such as the award-winning Restaurants & Institutions magazine.

The magazine was named ASBPE Magazine of the Year during my time as part of the team. I covered consumer and operational trends and business issues, generating editorial packages for both the magazine and the website, including Web-exclusive reports and interviews.

Covered global news and technology within the hotel industry, and edited all features and departments in the magazine. Also headed up editorial efforts on the Web and occasionally filled in as production editor.
