I was trained and worked for ASRC as an Arctic Spill Response Technician for the Shell Arctic Venture during the 2015 season ending late September. While working in the Chukchi Sea I was responsible for maintaining a response ready status, and I actively participated in the Shell safety culture, which included extensive North Slope oil and gas safety training and certification such as HAZWOPER 40hr, NSTC, Confined Space entry, transportation safety etc.

U.S. Department of the Interioro As an Emergency employ for the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge took lead roles on multiple projects including organizing a group of sixteen high school seniors in the re-leveling of a historic cabin built in 1901 by the first Big Game Hunting Guild in Alaska to lead Big Game hunts for wealthy Europeans in the remote portions of Alaska.o The position also consisted of general maintenance and upkeep of 16 public use and historic cabins in the wilderness of Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. o In addition to working a 10 4 work schedule, special projects often consisted of trips to remote locations working longer hours (12+ hours per day) and living in a self-supported camp environment for up to a week at a time.

o Cross Country and Track was a major part of my college experience. Year-round focused training and team collaboration led my college cross country team to their 18th consecutive conference championship on November 8, 2014. As team captain I was able to inspire and unite a diverse team to accomplish the goal of qualifying for nationals for the first time in 4 years. Along the way, we exceeded expectations not only qualifying for nationals, but we also won the NCAA Division 2 Southeast Region Championship. It was the first region win by a Mars Hill team since 2005.o Fall 2014, Team broke several team all-time records including fastest team average time of 25:46.75 for the 8k.

I also maintained the grounds.

o Along with two other co-workers, I served a backcountry dinner to 20-50 campers every other night. In addition to providing a safe environment for campers, my team led evening devotions and gave camp safety talks in addition to being a positive role model/mentor to campers.o Worked at the climbing wall on a rotational basis providing safety talks and insuring safe use of ropes and the wall.
