Duties include troubleshooting/diagnosing complex hardware, software, network performance and various Enterprise Applications. Give support to Texas State Advisors via telephone calls or email communication. Maintain technical expertise on hardware, software, telephony, network configurations, or peripherals using various methods (i.e. reviewing technical information, attending training, using self-paces learning, working with other technical support team, etc.). Monitors call trends to identify and resolve continuing problems or unusual situations. Use Remedy ticketing tracking system to report problems, request service and assign tickets to appropriate group. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use on initiative and independent judgment. Knowledge of Data Center Operation, Online Systems and LAN/WAN. Experience with troubleshooting techniques and problem management. Have experience with Knowledge of Industry standard applications from Microsoft Windows XP, Outlook, Lotus Notes. Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Windows Server, Active Directory, TIERS, DataBroker, Maximus, Password Resets, VPN. Manage Department Outlook Inbox, created procedures and trained staff on processing. Strong Internet Explorer knowledge and troubleshoot computer slow response issues. Supervised E-Mail team.
