Lead a team of Career Directors in building opportunities for our students connect with employers in their chosen career field. As Career Directors, we strive to build communities for our students, consisting of faculty, alumni, and industry professionals.

Served as a mentor the President and President Elect, while also Chairing the Nominations Committee for new Board of Directors positions and managing the awards and recognition process for outstanding AAEE members

-Developed agenda and conducted monthly Board meetings-Provided oversight to the Executive Officers and Directors for the appointment of team members as well as approval of function goals-Aided in improving the financial trajectory of the Association

-Chaired the Conference Planning Committee for the AAEE National Conference in Nashville, TN-Provided support to the President in development and application of annual Association goals

-Served as the Director over Long-Range Planning-Created a calendar timeline for all Board members to serve as a guide in keeping up with monthly responsibilities

-Served as the Director of training and professional development for all Career Services staff-Managed all career planning, internship, and employment development for students and alumni in the Colleges of Education and Human Services and the Arts-Interpreted assessments (MBTI, Strong Interest Inventory, SkillScan, and FOCUS) for students, alumni, and community members working to select a career or major-Provided leadership training to the campus community to faculty, staff, student leaders, and various honors/leadership courses-Directed all aspects of Career Exploration efforts, led a team of 2-3 Career Peer Interns each year, created the curriculum for, taught, and trained instructors for the Career & Life Planning courses

-Supervised a team of 10 managers and administrators plus a team of 20 volunteers in managing the training programs for more than 150 trainees for two stores-Recruited, interviewed, and hired potential trainees on a daily basis-Taught weekly in-service training courses to a team of 10 managers in a vocational training program to enhance effective leadership and communication strategies-Utilized Spanish-language skills with over 20 Spanish-speaking trainees-Interacted with the staff at LDS Employment Resource Services and other community resources to identify career opportunities -Designed an outplacement strategy that was successfully implemented in 7 Deseret Industries stores in California-Administered and interpreted career assessments as a tool to career path selection -Initiated marketing activities that focused on developing relationships with employers to establish internship programs and outplacement resources-Identified short and long term goals for up to 200 individuals quarterly in areas of self-reliance, career success in order to overcome obstacles and improve quality of life
