Derek Bell is a Software Engineer at SkyBox Labs | Minecraft at SkyBox Labs. Colleagues describe him as "Derek has been working with VHP for a few years now and has completed two co-op work terms with us. The Victoria Hand Project team in Victoria is small and we currently work in 7 countries around the world. There are always many projects on the go and our employees work on various tasks. Derek was able to integrate into the team very well and was always keen to learn new skills. He has worked on various designs for us, completed engineering testing (i.e. material testing, strength testing on the hands), and has also helped with the strategy and growth of VHP. Recently, Derek has also assisted in VHP's software needs, and well as software development for other organizations. There are many undergraduate engineering volunteers who help in the lab with hand assembly, testing, and other tasks. Derek is always willing to help these students and make them feel part of the team. We are really thrilled with all of Derek's work over the years. Derek is a major part of the Victoria Hand Project and I don't think we would be where we are now if it wasn't for him. "
