I’m an entrepreneur through and through. Over the last 25 years, I have been a founder and CEO of three startup SaaS companies (CallVision, Globys, Amplero). I’ve guided the companies from infancy to a couple very successful exits (acquisition by VeriSign and Constellation Software). I’m a hands-on leader with a unique combination of strengths: direct enterprise sales and business finance. My board members describe me as a "creative survivor" - leading my companies through challenging times to positive exits. I now leverage my skills to provide mentorship and advisor services to other technology CEOs. Building businesses is my passion. Leading by example to create a culture of hard work, dedication to customers, creativity and learning, and a fun team approach. Every startup, including mine, runs into extinction level events that threaten its survival. I’m adept at identifying the problem and executing plans to live to fight another day. During these challenges, I didn’t always have a mentor or advisor to lean on. I share my experience and perspective with technology leaders to help survive these events. I also get to meet many amazing companies to invest in as an angel investor.Outside of work, I’ve served as a mentor for the University of Washington MBA program for 20 years, and as an advisory board member for the University of Washington Diabetes Care Institute. I enjoy active hobbies of hiking, fishing, golfing, and trying to keep up with my two amazing teenage boys.
