I began working with Abergeldie as a Project Engineer at the Queensland Rail Mayne Yard project at Bowen Hills after a 2 month break from my previous employer (Mainly spent time travelling).The project was a stabling facility for trains which was upgraded for the new Queensland Rail trains needed for the 2018 Commonwealth Games which were held on the Gold Coast.Main objectives of the project included: installing the new decanting systems, installing large underground storage tanks, all electrical boards, marker post, new footpaths/walkways and platforms and all underground services (electrical, water and sewer).

Mining experience:-Worked as a Mine/Field surveyor at Rolleston Open Cut Coal Mine (Glencore). Previously worked at Hail Creek Mine (Rio Tinto), Lake Lindsay and Foxleigh (Anglo American), Yarrabee (Yancoal)etc. -Excellent understanding of general mining operations.-Meeting all the necessary safety requirements to perform my duties, including involvement in Job Hazard Assessments and being aware of geotechnical hazards, correct positive communications whilw driving, etc.-Typical duties on various mine sites:-Ensuring Excavator, Shovel and Loader dig faces are surveyed and up to date in the model-Freedig, Over-Burden, Coal etc.-Draglines- surveyed on a weekly basis to monitor design conformance.-All blasts surveyed, all drill bench preparation for Drill and Blast.-Waste dumps, Water Levels, Site Services (above and underground), Permit to Disturb setout, Exploration hole data, etc.-Office (Tech. Services Dept.) data management (GPS, Scanner, UAV data), Machine guidance plans, Dig permits, End of month volumes, etc.-Software: I-stite Studio, AutoCAD, 12d, Minescape, Vulcan, Riscan Pro, Deswik, etc.Engineering surveying experience: (various periods of time in between mining jobs, usually 1-6 months at any time)-Various road and rail projects in central Queensland working with TMR, QR, Aurizon, CMC, etc. This work involved detail surveys of existing road/rail, setout for newly constructed road/rail and finally a survey of the finished product for conformance reports.-Other work in CQ from time to time involved CHF monitoring in various mines (conveyor belt, footings and reclaim tunnels)-Work in Brisbane- most of 2016 I worked on various projects throughout Brisbane. These included civil/earthworks, building setout, high rise (columns, walls, lift shaft setout, etc.), services, detail surveys of dwellings, etc. with companies such as ADCO, Badge, DECC, TPG, FKG, etc.-Experience with 12d and AutoCAD
