I share an expansive and uniquely creative vision with those artists who love the horizons and magnificent skies found only in the landscape of the Canadian prairies. After traveling in Europe I decided a lifelong interest in art and design could be fulfilled through artistic study at the Alberta College of Art (ACAD) in Calgary, Alberta. It was during my time at ACAD in the Jewelry and Design program that I found focus, a personal philosophy and an enthusiasm for jewelry creation both traditional and artistic.After graduating from ACAD in 1978 I apprenticed with a number of master goldsmiths refining and perfecting my craft before returning to Saskatchewan to design and manufacture my own and custom jewelery designs in my own studio.My work has been exhibited at the Triangle Gallery in Calgary, Alberta, the National Archives and Library Building in Ottawa, Ontario as well as the Mackenzie Art Gallery in Regina, Saskatchewan. International attention for my work was received when my design of a fully articulated fine gold and diamond fan titled ‘Qu’Appelle’, was chosen as a winning entry and shown at the DeBeers ‘Diamond: Natures Miracle’ Exhibition in Venice, Italy 2004. ‘Qu’Appelle’ was also displayed in the Royal suite at the Hotel Saskatchewan during Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philips visit to Regina, Saskatchewan in 2005 for the personal viewing enjoyment of the royal couple.
