As an outside sales rep, I was responsible for making a professional presentation, utilizing consultative and relationship-based sales principles, and closing the sale. I was also required to coordinate financing approvals and complete all contract and financing documentation.

I also earned a sales award for accomplishing the largest single sale ($$$,$$$) for this franchise!

From initial start-up, I built two successful businesses engaged in Interior Remodeling & Renovation Contracting. Both companies were committed to providing the highest standard of services for high-end residential and light commercial projects. Small business owners are often called upon to do "whatever it takes" to be successful. Marketing, sales, planning, performance, and customer service are key positions, but service & client satisfaction are most important!

I was part of the team responsible for managing the construction of approx. 50,000 sf. of student housing. This position required daily analysis and reporting on schedules, materials, and resources. Also responsible for updating and planning (CPM) project tasks to increase the efficiency and productivity of available manpower.

I managed every function relevant in the process of home-building: from land development ( streets, water/sewer, electric, etc.) to final walk-through with the customer. I was responsible for overseeing the construction of 35 new custom homes in three subdivisions. Scheduling, vendor management, budget, QC, and coordination were just a few of the skills required to pull it all together. I learned a few HR skills as I interviewed, hired, and managed several full-time employees during this period.
