Leveraging an Angular, TypeScript, and GraphQL tech stack, I built tools to streamline the creation and maintenance of sound assets and make them more easily accessible to music creators within our marketplace. I helped lead development on our internal Admin tool, expanding the variety of audio and video asset types that we could support on our site. I led and architected the development for page redesigns on the user-facing Splice.com site, modernizing the user experience by sharing components with our other surfaces (like desktop). I also mentored other engineers both inside and outside our team, helped establish best practices, and collaborated on technical documentation.

I mainly focused on the school-to-parent billing platform during my time at brightwheel, adding powerful features in React that enabled our customer schools to bill for multiple different use cases and student attendance patterns. I also helped enable new school communication patterns, contributed to our homegrown component library, advocated for more robust testing, and enabled robust user metrics so that we could gain better insight into the way that schools were using our site.

After graduating from the TLP program, I contributed to an Enterprise Item project called Portage, focused on streamlining the imported item approval process. I delivered multiple features and bug fixes and helped clean up technical debt, working mostly in AngularJS and Golang. I then moved back to the API Platform team, working on Target's Developer Portal (using React, Node.js, Express, and Golang) to improve overall user experience, increase developer traffic, and enable easier API onboarding for developer teams.

I completed two six-month rotations in Target's rotation Technology Leadership Program.During my first rotation, I worked on the Point-of-Sale Modernization team, where I took my first dive into C# and C++ development, helped my team categorize and map register configuration settings within a microservice, and built a CI/CD pipeline for that microservice using Drone + Docker + Kubernetes to make it production-ready for cloud deployment.Next, I moved onto the API Gateway + Portals team. During this rotation, I became familiar with the PEAN (Postgres, Express, AngularJS, and Node.js) stack and used it to make UI improvements and feature additions to our API portals and operationalize my own API on the API Gateway for internal use.

I worked with president Mariana Diaz and the other members of the HANDS Organization (a non-profit organization that connects volunteers from the United States with volunteer programs in Guatemala and El Salvador) to select and implement a new CRM program to assist the organization with its volunteer and financial management capabilities, streamline the volunteer experience, and allow for the tracking of trends in volunteer participation and satisfaction.

During my time at Target, I was the scrum master for a team of three software development interns within Target's REDperks loyalty program product team. During our three two-week sprints, we altered the promotional website, created and automated an offer-centric reporting solution, and created an Android proof-of-concept counterpart to the iOS application that currently exists. I facilitated and aided in these development efforts, providing me with hands-on experience with JIRA, GitHub, SQL, and Android UI design, as well as an an understanding of potential applications of technology within the retail industry.

I helped the IT Engineering team research and make progress in selecting a new product configurator program for the Distributed Power business. I also was able to achieve 35% field reduction in the Gas Turbines workflows that are a part of the ongoing ITO workflow integration project. Finally, I evaluated and delegated access to business applications to external Waukesha customers based on their business needs. These three projects allowed me to lead and collaborate with veteran GE employees, while gaining valuable knowledge in data flows between ERP, PLM, and configurator systems.
