Accepted challenge to take over red zone hotel in labor challenged market. Hotel had turnover of over 250% prior to my arrival and was in bottom 10% of GSS rankings for all SpringHill Suites. Within 3 months GSS was at 82.8 and has never returned to red zone status. Labor challenges were resolved over time and hotel was in the top 3 for lowest turnover in 2004 & 2005 in company. Hotel received several Marriott and LBA awards during my tenure. Hands-on management of Marriott select service property. Upon departure, hotel was at 88% YTD GSS, 42% turnover and was surpassing budget. Promoted to Hilton Garden Inn.
