In my current work I lead teams to design and build solutions using search, data engineering, and enterprise analytics for commercial and government clients. Over my 30+ year career, I have helped numerous organizations manage and get value from their knowledge assets through discovery and analytics. I enjoy rolling up my sleeves to work with my teams and our clients to solve problems. I currently serve as a Managing Director in the Search & Content Analytics group (within Accenture Data & AI). I lead teams that evaluate, design, and implement search and analytics solutions for Fortune 500 and government clients. I worked as a Managing Architect with Search Technologies from 2013 to 2017 performing similar work, prior to our acquisition by Accenture. I hold Masters and Ph.D. degrees in Information and Library Science and served in technical leadership roles in research libraries and archives for 19 years prior to entering consulting. For my entire career, I have served as a cross-functional team leader, manager, and mentor.My areas of expertise include:- Search-based applications using commercial and open-source search engines, Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, user-experience, and value-added processes such as search-based analytics, recommendations services, and geospatial search.- Data acquisition and processing for structured and unstructured content sources.- Data migration & minimization for diverse use cases including Journey to Cloud, Mergers & Acquisitions, and Data Privacy. - Data Discovery & Management, including data engineering, data mesh, data governance, data lake search, data marketplace, and data exchange.- Full-stack architecture, development, and delivery of on-premise or cloud-based solutions.- Requirements gathering and assessments, proposals and RFP responses, architecture design, agile-delivery, team and personnel management, scrum, and SDLC.
