Organized and built a commissioned sales force for a Georgia-based national residential mortgage organization. Planned sales staff expansion, led recruiting at four regional universities, organized and conducted sales training and individual testing, selected managers, assigned mortgage origination and management responsibilities, and directed evaluation and promotion of sales leaders. Led the development of 40 to 60 new salesmen each month, expanding the internal sales force from 45 to 165, and built an external sales organization from zero to 1,500 loan advisors, eventually closing 50,000+ loans per year and generating in excess of $12 billion in sales volume annually.

Developed a professional staff of loan consultants for a Georgia-based regional residential mortgage company. Hired as a loan consultant and was promoted to sales leader, progressing through to Vice President in charge of sales and mortgage lending production in three years. Built a sales organization growing staff to 10 managers and 120 loan consultants, closing over 2,500 loans per year and generating in excess of $700 million in sales volume annually.

Assumed sales manager responsibility for the Smyrna branch office of a Georgia-based apartment locating service. Recruited and trained new sales agents, managed issuance of property visit cards, recorded sales, prepared monthly P&L statements and reported office results to corporate management. Managed a staff of 15 sales agents and office staff responsible for producing approximately $1.5 million annual sales revenues, and was the top producing sales manager of seven offices in two reporting periods.

Managed a sales team selling mortgage protection insurance for a Georgia-based financial brokerage firm. Organized a process for prospecting and selling customer appointments, conducted house calls presenting insurance protection features, submitted customer applications, and mentored other sales agents. Personally sold an average three policies per week generating approximately $180,000 in annual sales revenues, and managed development of four additional salesmen increasing revenues to approximately $400,000 annually.

Opened a branch office in metro Atlanta, Georgia for a Texas-based national life and health insurance company. Acquired Georgia life and health insurance licenses, leased office space, established office and business relations, hired sales agents, and purchased sales leads. During a two-year period, guided a small team of contract sales people producing between $400,000 to $600,000 sales revenues annually.
