Our mission is to work with FMCG brands and replace fossil-fuel-based nonwovens with planet-friendly fibres like wool and other natural fibres. I believe in responsible business, ensuring everyone wins along the supply chain.I have an engineering background and started my career in software development helping customers to optimise their business processes through technology. I love the creative process of solving problems through product development and transformation. I left the corporate IT world to start a new mission: to replace single-use plastic in nappies but that vision has spread to other market sectors. Going back to my farming roots, working with wool was the obvious choice and a way to help rural communities in NZ become more sustainable and prosperous. Although Information Technology and Biotechnology seem worlds apart, forming great relationships with customers, understanding their challenges and coming up with viable solutions are the same. My key attributes - resilience, good listener, integrity, authenticity, creative problem solver and I get stuff done.My interests:1) Researching sustainable solutions in and outside of the home to increase efficiency and minimise waste. Our home and EV car runs on both solar and grid electricity, our domestic water resource comes from roof collection, we have a home sewage tank/field disposal system and all of our organic waste goes to our chickens and worm composter which then goes into our vege garden. Next we are embarking on a tree planting programme.2) I love to learn about efficient housing designs and minimisation. 3) Regenerative farming practices - always learning!4) I love learning so I'm either listening to podcasts or doing some online course to be my best self. 5) Other interests: fashion, playing loud high energy music whilst running/walking in the hills, mountain biking with my boys.
