Project Objective: 1. Validate the residency status of each student whose education is funded by the District of Columbia, as set by The Office of the State Superintendent of Education - OSSE. 2. Validate the number of students currently attending now and those that dropped out of a DC school or nonpublic school since the previous school year. 3. Identify any material weaknesses in systems, procedures and controls indentified during performance of the enrollment count audit engagement. Primary Responsibilities:• Managed the Audit Team and the in-school audit plan for the assigned schools• Implementation of accuracy checklists, surveys, forms and confirmations to facilitate the communication, documentation, quality assurance, reliability and management of the engagement.• Performed the Physical Head Count, 100% Testing of DC Residency Verification Forms.• Identified any discrepancies or errors on Verification Documents.• Managed the entrance and/or exit conferences.• Ensured the accuracy and integrity of the Audit.• Assigned Audit Team tasks and validated the work of assigned staff.

Primary Objective and Duties:To facilitate the successful sale of businesses by helping determine the price of the business, helping to structure terms that will be acceptable to both the seller and to the buyer and finally, coordinating the sales process until the transaction is successfully closed. In addition to helping the seller fairly value the business, structure the transaction and find the right Buyer, I also acted as a “project manager.” Beltway coordinates the sale process with a seller’s other professional advisers, lenders and other relevant parties, works with the seller to obtaining financing and plans for an orderly, profitable change in ownership.In an initial meeting the buyer and I establish the buyer’s criteria for a business and his or her financial qualifications and business background. The prospective buyer then completes a confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement so confidential seller information can be revealed to the buyer. Potential acquisition candidates from Beltway’s listings are then identified based on the buyer’s criteria. If a listing is available that meets the buyer’s criteria, pertinent details of the listing are provided to the buyer. If the buyer elects to pursue the opportunity Beltway arranges a meeting with the seller at the sellers facility or at Beltway’s offices.I also assisted buyers in obtaining financing as we have many lenders who we can recommend for business acquisitions. Beltway can also recommend good sources for business insurance. Beltway Business Brokerage helps take the mystery out of the business buying/selling process and offers buyers/sellers assistance and guidance every step of the way.
