Student:I am currently studying communications online at Ensign College. I completed a social media marketing certificate in April 2022 and a communications core certificate in 2023. I love learning about content creation, marketing strategies, and analytics. Tastes Better From Scratch:I completed an internship with Tastes Better From Scratch, a recipe publishing website, in November 2022 and continued my employment as an email marketing team. I get paid to write, which is a dream come true!My current role with TBFS is Email Manager and Brand Outreach Coordinator. My responsibilities include:Developing and executing email marketing campaigns to engage and nurture our 300K subscribers. Managing and curating email lists for targeted communication. Coordinating brand outreach initiatives to enhance partnerships and collaborations. Monitoring and analyzing campaign performance metrics to optimize future strategies. Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in email marketing and brand outreach. My attention to detail, close work with our team, and my ability to take responsibilities off of our COO's plate have helped our email list to double in the past year. I look forward to leading more projects with Tastes Better From Scratch and developing innovative strategies to increase page views and brand awareness. Disability Advocate:My role as a disability advocate started at home with my children. My oldest son has autism, my daughter has life-threatening food allergies/ADHD, and my youngest son also has ADHD. I've attended countless IEP, 504, and ISP meetings over the years- both for my own children and for other families in my community. I enjoy giving autism inclusion talks to churches, schools, and community programs. I have taught over 500 people, including children and community leaders, about autism over the past 20 years.My most recent contribution to the disability community was creating an "All About Me" book based on ISP information and family interviews for two individuals moving into supported living. The books allow new staff to learn more about the individual in a format that is easier to digest than a wordy ISP. I graduated from Partners in Policymaking in 2009, a Missouri education program for parents and self-advocates. One requirement for Partners in Policymaking was that I create a program to take back to my community.
