Genuine human interaction and connection is what this (life) is all about. Checking off a box or completing a task is great, but what I don't want to miss along the way is the relationships. Knowledge of loan products, underwriting and the Title world and Real-Estate world is mandatory. But in order to survive in this industry you need to be well marketed. As a broker, 98% of my own leads are generated through personal marketing attempts. Getting individuals to think about me first when they are in need of a mortgage or getting Real Estate Agents to trust me with their clients/deadlines is the most important part of my job. In my past professional life I worked as a New Car Franchise Sales Manager for nearly 8 years. It was 8 years of experience that I am grateful I have and took away priceless experience and knowledge for what I do and do not want in the future.
