Design and implement operational systems for Absa Capital on contract via Kaizania.I have a team of c# developers which are implementing a number of systems from the ground up. We use agile methodologies to manage the workload and projects.

We are designing and implementing an entire "bank" from scratch. This is probably the most interesting project I have ever been involved in. I have a small team working on everything from product & process design to finding vendors and solutions and finally designing custom solutions for the systems we cannot obtain in any other way.

I have worked in theBusiness Intelligence area for over 7 years on projects ranging from data warehouses to various pure reporting solutions using a range of software packages.

This position entailed managing the infrastructure and development of a team of people involved in delivering business intelligence applications to a wide user base. Our team was not responsible for building and loading the data-warehouse - but we were responsible for finding innovative ways of exploiting the data in the warehouse.Technology used was.

This was my first venture into the world of Business Intelligence. This company was mainly a SAS warehousing partner - but our department focussed on designing the warehouses more than physical implementation.

The company was a software development house. We mainly focussed on building back-end/operational systems in C++, targetted at the Windows platform.

I was mainly responsible for developing back-end C++ systems. The companies focus was on providing financial news and stock price information to traders. We used a combination of Windows and Linux to build a delivery platform. Most of the development work was in either C or C++.
