I am a Professional Certificated Engineer, disciplined in Electrical Engineering with vast mechanical and mining experience. Currently co-owner of Priapus Construction and Engineering (PYT) Ltd, based in Fochville. See our Web site for full company details at www.priapus.co.zaPrevious responsibilities include delivery of large mining projects from inception to final commissioning at Read, Swatman and Voigt Consulting Engineers, Gold Fields of South Africa and South Gold Exploration – Burnstone Mine. My career has extended for more than 34 years during which period I have managed and been directly associated with the delivery of many projects. In addition, I have been intensely exposed to extensive mining, construction, management and project implementation having an appropriate background in both operations and mining capital projects at various Senior Management levels. My proven abilities of being able to conduct business at all levels from Site Management, Project Management and Technical Engineering issues at Management and Executive levels is evident. Using a vast exposure and experience in the Built Environment and Industries I have effectively leveraged and used a very large network of fellow professionals to promote and add value to the relative stakeholder’s brand and client base.Positions held during this period include Engineer, Electrical Engineer, Chief Engineer, Engineering Manager, Project Leader, Project Manager, Manager Projects and General Manager. (GoldFields, now SibanyeStillwater, South Gold Exploration - Burnstone, Read, Swatman and Voight and AfrisamSA)I was a Council Member of the Association of Mine Resident Engineers from 2003 - 2018 (Past President 2007), a Member of the Commission of Examiners for GCC Engineers (DMR) and registered with ECSA. I have completed the Management Advanced Program (MAP) at UNISA Business School. Project Management Course and various other courses including Mentorship, IR and various Life Skills Courses.

• Appointed as Engineering Manager of the mine at EXCO level the role and function was the establishment of total infrastructure development for the Burnstone Mine near Balfour in Mpumalanga. The mine started as a new Greenfields project and consists of a decline shaft, vertical shaft, metallurgical plant and related mining and total surface infrastructure. Involvement is project leader in design, contractor co-ordination, construction and commissioning of the related projects. Control over project managers, consultants and designing teams formed part of the challenging work. The control of all production equipment and related infrastructure also forms part of the profile. • Leading highly competent teams and close working relations with first class consulting and design companies completed this portfolio. The project started in June 2006 and since joining in September 2007 I basically took the project from the start.
