When I was 12 years old, my brother sat me down and made me watch the presidential debate that was on that night with him. I didn't understand most of what was being said, but my brother, a junior in college studying International Relations, explained the various strategies used by the candidates and why they chose the talking points they did. I became excited at the sheer amount of change each candidate promised. When I was older and understood better the world of politics, I witnessed many policy shifts and implementations that affected the nation. From a young age, I became interested in the workings of administration.In my college career, I began to search out internships in the political field. While at the time, this seemed like the direction I wanted my life to go, I quickly realized that working in various politician's offices didn't satisfy my desire to communicate directly with people to solve problems through proper administration practices. Through my experience in various jobs as both a team member and a manager, I realized the importance of implementing positive administration strategies in the job environment. While a 12-year-old me was determined to be on the presidential debate stage someday, the adult version of myself realized that a career in Human Resources and public administration made my heart sing in a way that a political career could not match. Now, you'll find me talking nearly non-stop at jobs I hold to my coworkers to try and find ways to improve our workplace and resolve issues that we face together as a team. Using skills I've learned throughout my professional career, I specialize in fostering an open workplace with positive communication and customer relations.
