As a member of the Curious Plot executive leadership team, I am responsible for the expression of our brand and reputation in the marketplace. I also lead the agency's diversity, equity and inclusion strategy and serve as a senior leader of our animal health practice.

I lead the animal health practice, serve as Agriculture Domain Leader and am a member of the senior leadership team at FLM Harvest, a strategic consulting, marketing and communications agency that helps set strategy, align teams, frame opinions and create demand to deliver far-reaching results for clients in the agriculture, food and lifestyle markets.

I served on the Board of KC Pet Project, a 501c3, nonprofit charitable organization operating the Kansas City, Missouri Animal Shelter. KCPP cares for more than 10,000 animals a year and works collaboratively with Animal Control and other animal welfare organizations to increase the number of homeless pets adopted, and focus on lifesaving programs promoting pet retention, identification, lost pet reunions and pet ownership education throughout the community.

I led a 10-person team responsible for internal, business unit and brand communications for the U.S. Companion Animal Division of Zoetis (legacy Pfizer Animal Health), the world's largest animal health company. Responsible for owning and managing relationships with key agency partners and accountable for stewarding significant annual A&P spend. Served as a member of the internal U.S. team that launched the Zoetis brand following the spin-off from Pfizer.

I was the first person to serve in the newly created role of communications director for the U.S. Companion Animal Division of Pfizer Animal Health, the world's largest animal health company. In this position, I led a 10-person team responsible for internal, business unit and brand communications. One of my key accomplishments was to reorganize the team, in Year One, to create defined positions and accountabilities focused on communications strategy and marketing operations. I was also responsible for owning and managing relationships with key agency partners and accountable for stewarding significant annual A&P spend.

I led a 20-person public relations team for Rhea + Kaiser, a leading integrated marketing communications agency. Key clients included Archer Daniels Midland, Bayer CropScience, Evanston Northwestern Healthcare, Howard G. Buffett Foundation, Pfizer Animal Health, Underwriters Laboratories and Valley Irrigation. One of my key accomplishments was to bring two separate PR teams (one focusing on B2C, the other B2B) into a single, unified group serving clients across the spectrum.

I launched and led the public relations practice for Brighton, an integrated marketing communications agency. Key clients included BASF Agricultural Products and Elanco Animal Health (companion animal).

I served in a client relationship management role at leading international PR agency Gibbs & Soell, leading the Dow AgroSciences team.

I led various client teams in the Kansas City office of FleishmanHillard, the world's largest PR agency. Key clients included BASF Agricultural Products, Ocean Spray Cranberries and Ontario Greenhouse Vegetable Growers.

I served in newsroom leadership positions for The Packer, the flagship of leading U.S. trade publisher Vance Publishing Corp. In this role, I led a 20-person team of reporters, editors and designers, and was responsible for the overall editorial product for the weekly newspaper and several annual supplements. Accountable for overseeing a significant annual department budget.

I was a business reporter and editor at Sun Publications Inc., a community publisher in Johnson County, Kansas (KC metro area). A key accomplishment was to develop and deploy a new weekly Business section focused on the dynamic Johnson County business community.

While at K-State, I served in a series of newsroom leadership roles, including editor in chief of the Collegian, one of the state's largest daily newspapers. In this role, I led a team of 80 student journalists and had primary responsibility for the editorial content of this perennial national award-winning newspaper.
