During the years I've been assigned to the 3rd Special Forces Group, I have been deployed on Foreign Internal Defense missions to places such as Haiti, the Federal Republic of Congo, Botswana, and Nigeria, supporting the foreign policy efforts of the US Department of State. • I was deployed to Afghanistan shortly after the attack on 9/11/2001 for combat operations in February 2002 and returned to the US in May 2003 to support yet another State Department commitment to train the commandos of the Botswana Defense Force. I returned to Botswana for one last deployment to train their commandos in hostage rescue operations before being honorably discharged in January 2003. Among the awards I've earned during my years in Special Forces, my most distinguished awards include the Bronze Star Medal and the Meritorious Service Medal. -
