As a Certified Mental Performance Consultant (CMPC #599), my focus is to create sport specific mental training programs for teams, athletes, and coaches that are individualized to each of my clients. I fully believe that for mental skills programs to be effective, they be functional tools that will be used and easily applied to the work they do in their sport. Over the last 25 years I have been working with teams and athletes helping them find ways to create thriving performances. Certified Consultants of the Association for Applied Sport Psychology are the most capable sport psychology providers as they have met the highest standards in education, training and supervised practice. The AASP certified consultants maintain high standards of ethical conduct while giving service to others. Effective mental skills programs stem from evidence based research. As a CMPC, I follow this evidence based guideline rigorously.I work in conjunction with my clients to teach athletes how to effectively prepare for, and successfully navigate, competitive challenges on a day to day basis. My clients include pro athletes, PDL players, NCAA Division 1 teams, club sport athletes, high school athletes, and adults returning to competition. I know the functional and evidence based approach works. Thrive's mental training programs are solidly based on theory and have been distilled down to practical applications for athletes and coaches. I feel that my unique skill in the field of performance enhancement stems from spending 20 years on the sidelines as a collegiate coach plus three as a high school coach and blending that coaching experience with an applied sport psychology approach. This blend has helped me create tools athletes need most in the heat of competition.
