RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Directs the information technology resources of the College.2. Plans, monitors and organizes work to ensure quality and adherence to technical college rules, regulations, policies and procedures.3. Provides project management as needed to resolve significant problems with the information systems and to ensure the overall success in the development of information systems.4. Advises the President and the budget staff regarding the budgeting and expenditure of information technology funds.5. Creates and maintains a high performance environment characterized by positive leadership and strong team orientation.6. Serves as the principal contact point representing IT and the college's direction for Information Systems technology.7. Maintains knowledge of current policies, laws, trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate policy notices, interpretations and attending training sessions, meetings and conferences.8. Coordinates and communicates with internal and external team members.9. Displays a high level of effort and commitment to performing work; operates effectively within the organizational structure; demonstrates trustworthiness and responsible behavior.10. Serves on institutional committees.11. Participates in required staff development activities.12. Oversees the implementation, management, and monitoring of network operations and security.13. Prepares short and long term plans to grow and maintain all IT resources.14. Anticipates future network needs, identifies proactive solutions to satisfy needs.15. Exercises staff oversight to ensure new operations plans, policies, procedures, and transition/migration plans are consistent with the overall company goals and objectives.16. Supports and solicits input from team members at all levels within the organization17. Performs other duties as assigned by the President.

I primarily taught classes dealing with PC repair, Client/Server networking, Networking infrastructure, and wireless networks. I wasthe head of the CIS program at OTC and the CIS networking vice-chair for the Technical College System of Georgia.
