Shortly termed, this Richmond born, VCU graduate is simply referred to as D-Knott, and requires little to no introduction. As a dance major in College, with a passion for dance, complimented by his natural ability to “show and prove”, D-Knott has transformed himself into a Triple Threat in the entertainment industry. With an extensive, reputable, and recognizable history this gentleman has limitless knowledge and experience in multiple areas. (Dance/Choreography, Photography/Modeling, and Artist development)For the first decade of his career, 1993-2003, D-Knott stabilized his existence as a Dancer/Choreographer, and definitely left a lasting taste. Signing with Dream Worth in 93’ as a dancer for R&B Group, VA, he began to get his feet wet. From 1995-2003 he was the Lead Dancer and Dance Coordinator for BET’s infamous show Teen Summit, as well as Lead Producer for Fox’s Richmond Magazine TV show Trendz. D-Knott’s natural ability to reflect music through the art of dancing has landed him major exposure with some of the industry’s most talented artists. Having traveled and performed live with Hip Hop and R&B royalty such as Mya, Puff Daddy, Dru Hill, Destiny’s Child, Faith Evans, Lost Boyz, and Tony Toni Tone , just to name a few, D-Knott has clearly had major opportunities within the industries and has developed many different industry connections and networking relationships. D-Knott has never been one to be selfish, instead he has proven to be selfless. So with that, in the early 2000’s he organized an Artist Development class in his home state of Virginia. After the initial success of his new found class, he formed the Music Is Love Foundation, helping people live their dreams with music. Some of the industry’s name artists started their careers through training they were able to obtain during his classes – ultimately signing to Jive, May Back, and Universal Music...............
