Built and managed relationships with local schools and educational facilities to coordinate the implementation and ongoing management of the Raising A Reader program, as national family engagement and early literacy program. Helped administer the program as part of a $4M US Department of Education grant. Handled various tasks, including program assessments, regulatory compliance, program implementation and training development and facilitation. Supported the implementation and execution of programs at 93 Baltimore City Public Schools and 30 Baltimore City Head Start locations. Coordinated and led program orientation and training for teachers, administrators and principals, providing detailed information regarding the program offerings to ensure compliance with federal guidelines. Monitored activities related to program implementation and execution, ensuring the effective delivery of technical support and program evaluations. Worked closely with affiliates and stakeholders to establish outreach goals and strategies, driving the continuous improvement of the program. Led a third-party evaluation team responsible for obtaining and tracking program data; provided key data to school districts to show the effectiveness of the program and improve all relationships.

Delivered lesson plans and curriculum for 8th grade English calls consisting of primarily disadvantaged youth; designed and implemented course content and structure, assessed student progress and provided guidance and assistance in comprehensive course material. Ensured students achieved their full academic potential by providing 1-on-1 and group support. Coordinated with administration and fellow teachers to ensure course material met curriculum standards. Measured and analyzed data to monitor students’ progress and ensure academic success. Partnered with social work department to facilitate leadership forums and field trips between at-risk youth males and influential men within the community. Planned and executed various activities for students, including tournaments, graduations, class trips, senior class activities, SGA events and field trips. Served as Chairperson for the School Improvement Team; led meetings and worked closely with school administration and the community to assess and implement ways to improve the school. Assembled a panel comprised of business leaders, parents and community members identify, qualify and secure a new school principal.
