Currently working on a graduate assistantship for Writing Center work. In the Fall of 2024, I will be serving as an instructor of a English literacy course + lab.

Using a campus management system and WCOnline, managed a team of tutors for scheduling, campus and community tutoring services, training, and employment. Streamlined communication from the director to staff members. Additional responsibilities included university clerical work and online tutoring sessions.

Assisted the teacher in planning and preparation for course delivery; aids instructional efforts of the teacher. Prepared lesson outlines, plans, and curricula. Curated additional reading lists and graded assignments. Additional work responsibilities included making photocopies, recording scores in LMS, designing notifications for email, creating fliers and ads, and uploading materials to Canvas. On request 1-on-1 tutor for students at-risk for dropping the course. Writing Center Tutor: Provided Southwestern Adventist University with tutoring services for collegiate essays, work resumes, and applying to graduate programs. I served approximately 40 students a semester including English Second Language students, adult learners, and distance education students. I averaged 40% of all clients visited from Fall 2021 - Fall 2022.

Operated as a educational mentor for Upward Bound Bridge Program (8th grade to 12th grade). Instructed students in various undergraduate courses related to English, Psychology, History and Communications. Responsibilities included the selection, enrollment, and instruction of previously served clients under the TRIO program into local community college courses (Duel-credit & Advanced Placement). Served as support staff in the travel and educational touring for summer program weekly enrichment trips and end-of-year week long trips.

Primarily responsible for leading the service team including cashiering, and recovery-related functions. I was accountable for customer service and operational front-end standards ensuring company goals were met. Provided leadership and clear direction to a team of twenty associates and management to actively participate in customer-facing and service of the store. I worked collaboratively with store leadership to accomplish customer service and front-end operational goals and tasks to help drive overall store performance up. Overall in my year long position, I held the standard in the region for store-facing procedures and communication with corporate leadership.
