I grew up in Aruba and found my way to Alberta, Canada, where I’m currently studying Accounting at SAIT. Why Accounting? Because I enjoy analyzing financial data, especially by using ratios, and solving problems.I was formerly in charge of a Project in Enactus SAIT called Project TBH. This position has allowed me to learn a lot about how to manage a team and to communicate properly, whether through online mediums or conversations. It has also taught me a lot about managing work, ideation, data, and deadlines. TBH is a project designed to help high school students to learn about the different aspects of college life and prepare for it. It covers things such as budgeting, looking for career paths etc. I took this on as helping solve social issues is a passion of mine.I am looking for any opportunities in accounting that comes my way. I’m always up for learning new skills to add to my repertoire. In the past, I have worked as a restaurant server in Aruba. This allowed me to learn how to communicate with both the customers and the co-workers. This experience also taught me how to approach and talk to people.Whenever I have free time, I usually end up reading a book, playing video games or watching Netflix.
