Hi, everyone! My name is Derrick Cummings. I graduated from Valparaiso University in May 2024 with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, majoring in Marketing with a Minor in Supply Chain and Logistics Management. Throughout those 4 years, I had two successful marketing internships in marketing research and marketing communications. In these experiences, I learned effective blog writing, informational brochure design, social media management, survey creation, conducting research interviews, and learning the product innovation process. In addition to internships, I was heavily involved on campus. I was the VP of Marketing for Valpo's Beta Gamma Sigma chapter, where I managed the Instagram account, planned and executed annual cultural events with the executive board, and helped lead the chapter to highest honor status during the two years I was a board member. I was also a member of Delta Sigma Pi for two years where I held the Chancellor position, where I managed the attendance of the chapter and helped the executive board plan successful events, including charity car washes and 5K races. I was also a 4th year Senator on Valpo's Student Senate and a member of the College of Business Dean's Leadership Council, helping to improve the quality of the department.
