I have been a technician since I was 21. Enjoyed working at different locations and took a little from each place to better my career and become a better technician. My curiosity, dedication, and commitment has lead me to be a supervisor at this point in my career. While being at AEP only 4 years, I have been very involved. From being a Leans Champion to now into a new leadership role. My short time here has been very busy trying to learn all I can about the company and evolve into a better leader. Here at AEP I have been recognized as a Leans Champion, this program has gave me a different outlook on working and how to eliminate waste and the importance of an A3. Providing data to an issue, rather than simply saying we have an issue is very important. Provide the data to support the issue at hand goes much farther than just saying we need to do this or that. Was very fortunate to receive some additional training with OSU center of excellence program as well.I'm a very opened minded and curious individual who strives to learn something each and every day. I want to learn as much as possible and help the organization as a whole. Not just help myself. I really enjoy helping others and being part of a TEAM. Without a TEAM you have nothing. You are only as good as your people. I love being a leader and working with your TEAM to make things better. If that be through processes, organization, planning, Etc. Allowing all to have ideas and the ability to speak about those ideas will get the most out of your TEAM because they feel like they have a purpose and that is the rewarding part of being a leader.
