An Admin Infrastructure II in Deskside Support primarily troubleshoots onsite support tickets, deploys/maintains computer/telecom equipment, and assists with IT related projects around campus as requested. Coordination and communication skills are essential aspects of this role, as interaction and collaboration is frequent with business unit admins, building engineers, management, and outside vendors. Additional duties include inventory management, ticketing, and updating switchport configuration in Service Now. Additionally, basic level switch port configuration, and project coordination with outside contractors occur within this role.

Past assignments have included Fire Direction Officer; responsible for the safe firing of howitzers and calculation of ballistic trajectories, Executive Officer; responsible for navigation of the unit and plan implementation, and most recently the Battalion Effects Coordinator. In this role I was primarily responsible for training plan development of the fires section that included 42 soldiers. I have recently transitioned into Battalion staff.

The Service Desk Analyst position provides assessment and resolution of incidents across a computing environment. Works at a fast-pace while providing high-quality troubleshooting and technical assistance in order to bring about a satisfactory resolution to the customers. They are responsible for achieving and maintaining pre-determined Key Performance Indicators and Service Levels. The Service Desk Analyst’s role is to ensure proper computer operation so that customers can accomplish business tasks. This includes receiving, assessing, prioritizing, documenting, and actively resolving customer requests and issues. Incident resolution involves the use of a variety of environment specific tools.

Images and repairs laptops and workstations. Installs and troubleshoots software, local/networked printers, Computers, VOIP Phones, and specialized equipment as needed. Completes tickets over the phone, remotely, and on site. Frequently communicates with end users and hardware vendors to troubleshoot tickets and redeem warranty claims. Collaborates with Networking to establish and maintain network connectivity over LAN/WIFI. Worked with City Government employees to find new ways to work through Tablets, Smart Phones, and Air Cards, in an ever increasing connected work environment. Logged all work completed in a ticket management system, and created/edited inventory as needed.
