Responsible for all three districts of the Leech Lake Reservation for permanency and adoption for children. Also build relationships with counties and agencies outside the reservation. Work independently mostly but also closely with case managers through cases. Locate foster homes, adoption homes for kids that have been through neglect, trauma, mental & emotional issues, and overall abuse. Attend meetings and training's. Drive to foster homes on the reservation or off the reservation for home inspections to keep homes up to date on supplies and home safety supplies. Work with Social Services Information System and the Minnesota Department of Human Services to get through a placement agreement/adoption agreement. Reach out to foster homes and adoption homes for emergency placements if an incident occurred, usually have 72 hours to find a placement. My skills in the area of communication has improved tremendously by working with other social workers through out the state of Minnesota and in my own agency. Also my organizational skills over my workload and because my position is always loaded and I manage it at ease. I have recently been assigned case management duties such as more court hearings, billing, court reports, and working in other areas of the software system making case notes. I am visiting each kid and adoptive parents on my caseload at least once or twice a month.

As a labor/floater my main job was to know all the jobs that were all a part of the manufacturing process of producing rolls of shingles. Lace up the product of the day we are scheduled to run. Good product was to run through winder, labeler, date stamped, cored, then stacked onto a pallet, then banded if the product needed to be banded.

The summary of my position was to monitor the youth. Be a great role model, make plans for the kids to do for the day regarding safe fun. Scheduled to discuss life and how to handle it, education, behavior, etc.

Welcomed guests, served individual guest and large parties, assisted with bartending responsibilities, memorize menu and specials.
