Overhaul resposibility for a chilled warehouse 7/24 operation to distribute 500k of fresh produce into Co-opretive stores for the South-West region,

Responsibility to ensure the safe running of the Goods In and Despatch operation of the site was complied to and that all business KPI's were achieved and exceeded where possible.

Managed 375k square foot multi-temperature automated warehouse, leading a team of 5 managers, 21 team leaders and 250 workers. Oversaw 24/7 operation featuring 17k pallets of stock and a pick capacity of 2m cases weekly. Directed health and safety programme in unionised workforce. Ensured top quality customer service to retail clients, overseeing on-time dispatch performance and addressing pick and dispatch errors. Managed stock tolerance and inventory KPIs. Reviewed customer financial information at monthly meetings. Managed staff performance, monitoring status of individual objectives. Oversaw operational finances, including profits, budgets and forecasts. Handled labour relations with site union (USDAW) and participated in annual negotiations. Created strategic labour plans according to forecast volume.
