Derrick P. Long is a Howard University, School of Business graduate with a degree in computer information systems. Derrick is currently working full-time at TIME Systems, LLC as an IT specialist & Information manager. However, he is aiming to continue his education at law school after gaining invaluable experience in the IT field. Derrick's final goal is to obtain his JD/MBA and bridge the gaps between not only the legal and corporate world, but also the ever-evolving digital world as well. Derrick’s ability to multi-task has enabled him to balance academic and professional endeavours to catalyze success. At the age of 15, Derrick’s strong work ethic landed him very detailed and involved jobs from certified lifeguard/swim instructor to contractual IT work, Derrick has accumulated massive amounts of work experience he hopes to apply to future work and job opportunities.Derrick is from Montgomery, Alabama and comes from a family of lawyers at no surprise; although, his interest stems from his own desire to create an equal socio-economic environment in the physical and digital world. Derrick has been known to be a man of focus accompanied by determination and natural leadership. Derrick also obtained the rank of 'Eagle' in the Boy Scouts of America in 2016(he was only 15 years old!), and only 8-11% of scouts achieved this top rank.
