Successfully led ASC through its 3rd AAAHC survey, CMS survey, and State of Maryland Pharmacy survey over the course of one month during interim leadership engagement. In addition, led the Center through the COVID Pandemic, retained clinical staff, and expanded the Total Joint Program while returning the Center to better than Pre-pandemic volumes while maintaining top decile patient satisfaction.

The flagship hospital, Winchester Medical Center, is a 455-bed regional non-profit referral center providing six distinct service lines.Directed Orthopedic Services covering operational effectiveness, financial performance, market growth, data management, strategic planning, and program development. Analyzed service trends and developed department objectives for orthopedic areas. Established effective strategies for programs, services, physician integration, and resource utilizations with goals of increasing service line growth, efficiency, and patient experience.Optimized orthopedics services by collaborating with physicians, clinical leaders, and supporting services to reduce LOS (Length of Stay) by 33%, discharging 85% to home (vs. state average of 65%).Achieved year of zero post-operative infections in total joint patients, resulting in national recognition for orthopedic team (Blue Cross / Blue Shield – Blue Distinction) and primary service area market share of 76%.Implemented a telehealth application for a Total Joint Patient Care Continuum that allowed the patients and team to remain connected prior to surgery, during recovery, and through to 6-month and 12-month outcome surveys resulting in increased patient satisfaction, reduction of unnecessary care for at-risk patients, and improving the presence of the Orthopedists on public sites. Recruited eight sub-specialized orthopedic physicians including specialists in orthopedic trauma (26% volume increase), hand (236% volume increase), foot and ankle (new services), total joints (21% volume increase) sports medicine (new services), and general orthopedics to address 4 retiring surgeons and market needs.

Led transition of independent ambulatory surgery center (ASC) to hospital outpatient department (HOPD) of medical center, producing increase in patient satisfaction to the 98th percentile, standardization of quality care, increase of up-front payments by 400%, and achievement of regulatory requirements assessed by JCAHO.

Valley Health is a six-hospital health system with a fully scoped rehabilitation service that includes a dedicated rehabilitation center; hospital based acute care services, home health services, supervised nursing facilities, and nine outpatient therapy clinics. Responsible for all aspects of outpatient physical and occupational therapy service products, clinical delivery, staff development, marketing, and strategic growth. Clinical site had budgeted gross revenue of $3.2M annually.

Successfully led an initiative to design, develop and implement an Occupational Health Program. Obtained Board Certification in Orthopedics from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Obtained advanced credentialing in spine care from the McKenzie Institute, USA.

Opened and managed private Physical Therapy clinic. Provided all aspects of the business from clinical, administrative, educational, and marketing. Successfully grew clinic from 6th largest to 2nd largest in the area within 2 years before merging with largest area clinic.
