I am an experienced Hardware Design Engineer with domain expertise in silicon, hardware, and firmware design and validation focused on custom power management ICs for enterprise SSDs. My career up till now has granted me the great opportunity of specializing between RTL design and verification, PCB layout and validation, and embedded firmware development. I have been able to apply my unique skillset and understanding of both analog and digital aspects of IC design and validation, which has given me the perspective capable of managing and participating in various design projects, handling manufacturing logistics/timetables, and eventual end-product integration. Using this cross-functional expertise I have been able to leverage my understanding the interactions and dependencies between the inside and outside of the ICs to run system-integration and product debug efforts for enterprise SSDs. In recent years, I have transitioned to expanding my expertise of embedded firmware to accommodate the ever-growing complexity of power supply systems due to the increasing power consumption and performance requirements of cutting-edge enterprise computing platforms. Ensuring that firmware can control and monitor the SSD’s power system optimally: delivering power-efficient, responsive, and reliable power delivery. My specialties include: embedded firmware development in machine languages, C, and C++; RTL design and verification in SystemVerilog and VHDL; electronic hardware design and validation; PCB schematic capture and layout; power electronics and circuit design.
