During my time in the military I stumbled across a book on cybersecurity. I was fascinated by the layers of technology and the challenges of safeguarding them. This passion led me to enroll in a cybersecurity bootcamp and obtain industry leading certifications. My career started at IBM, where I spent five years executing comprehensive IT and security strategies, directing 15 successful cyber investigations that enhanced network protection protocols, resulting in the identification of vulnerabilities leading to improved system resilience. In my current full time role at The Weather Company, I'm part of a team that designed and implemented security measures to protect the company's digital infrastructure from cyber threats, resulting in a 30% decrease in security incidents.In my current part time role in the Army Reserve, I plan, execute, and direct the communication strategy for missions ensuring alignment with secure processes for operational readiness, resulting in zero security breaches over a two year period. Outside work, I'm a keen runner.
