After graduating from Anahuac High School in 2005 I attended Texas A&M University where I majored in Animal Science with a focus on Production and Industry. I graduated in TAMU in 2009 and worked as a substitute teacher while I looked for full time work. I was hired on at National Oilwell Varco as a Quality Control Inspector with no experience. My position required me to inspect incoming material from outside vendors and maintain the inspection records, among other duties. Under the guidance of the Quality Manager, Richard Bush, I learned this position quickly and was soon working on my own. A little over a year after starting at NOV I was promoted to Project Management, again with no experience. I worked with and learned from the experienced Project Manager and took over my own projects. I was in charge of managing Drawworks skids, BOP Hoists, BOP carts as well as R&D and field service projects.
