Director Of Purchasing
CurrentResponsible for leading the District's Purchasing Department, including warehouse and print shop operations.Significant Duties Include:● Continually compare department job positions with District needs and make necessary changes to personnel responsibilities within approved job scopes.● Remain informed of and interpret government codes, rules, and regulations that relate to purchasing, contracts, inventory management, fixed assets, warehousing, and disposition of equipment.● Initiate and participate in collaborative planning efforts to define new, or refine current, policies and procedures that ensure District compliance with government codes, rules, and regulations. Planning efforts often involve other departments.● Compile information and prepare reports to the Board of Education that recommend authorization or ratification of purchases, disposition of equipment, and other contractual agreements.● Compile information and prepare reports to the Associate Superintendent presenting measurable performance of department functions.● Administer department budgets.
