Key strategies included process automation, workforce consolidation, process efficiency improvements, stronger and enhanced controls, and process owner accountability.• Identified duplicative accounts payable roles and functions across business lines and initiated consolidation efforts into a single enterprise team, absorbing work from three FTEs.• Introduced invoice intake automation using a third-party solution from Transcepta. Invoice automation advance from 0% to 15% in the first quarter of the year through assorted proof-of-concept and testing pilots with 30+ vendors. Full program adoption is launching during the second quarter.• Assessing vendor performance and contract cost recapture opportunities associated with underperforming or non-essential contracts. The Procurement team has negotiated the early termination of appropriately $450M of contracts associated with Bright’s Affordable Care Account business exit decision.• Reviewed end-to-end reconciliation processes identifying multiple process and enabling technology efficiency opportunities. Drove efforts with the Corporate Accounting to track, report, and provide accountability to over 800 non-compliant reconciliations. Delivered solutions to resolve the backlog of late reconciliations and established sustainable processes to keep reconciliations current.

The Oracle Program implemented Record-to-Report, Source-to-Pay, Plan-to-Perform, and Acquire-to-Retire processes as well as redesigning the Chart of Accounts, reporting and analysis, data integration, and process automation. Responsible for engagement management with KPMG consultants. The implementation achieved a 95% standard process adoption rate, exceeding the >80% goal.• Owned strategic prioritization and roadmap for the Oracle tools.
