Lead Computer & Simulation Technician
Current• Performs analysis of network security needs and contributes to design, integration, and installation of hardware and software. • Analyzes, troubleshoots and corrects network problems on-site and remotely. • Administers and maintains security systems such as firewalls and intrusion detection systems. • Performs, verifies, and directs orderly initialization and shutdown of all computer and networking systems on site. • Use advanced technical knowledge to solve complex problems to include determining the location and density of circuitry, isolating malfunctions, and incorporating engineering changes. • Exercises independent judgment in performing such tasks as making circuit analyses, calculating wave forms, and tracing relationships in signal flow, using complex test instruments such as high frequency pulse generators, frequency synthesizers, distortion analyzers, and complex computer control equipment. • Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles in determining equipment malfunctions.• Applies skill in restoring equipment operation, and evaluates performance and reliability of all prototype or production modes, and recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.• Manages and trains a technician crew.• Provides technical guidance and manages training program to lower level technicians. • Assigns, prioritizes, and coordinates maintenance calls, audits repair logs and training programs. • Directs and conducts corrective actions and audits to other sites, and review logistics audits.
