I love not knowing the answer to a problem.I love being knocked down, thrown into new environments, asked to do something completely new, I love it. I enjoy the responsibility in unknown challenges and being tasked with solving them. This is why I think I will always find success, no matter what role I am currently in and why I've achieved success in my wide array of previous experiences. I grew up on a farm working with my hands - fixing tractors, old trucks, construction, etc. In high school, I grew to love computers and programming. In college, I studied chemical engineering because I knew I was an engineer, but had the least experience with chemicals. (I couldn't help but sneak into several of my mechanical engineering friends' classes and ended up with a minor in reliability though.) After college, I found new passions of business and Leadership. As clique as it might be, I love learning.As much as I love to learn, I find the greatest value in applying what I've learned. Knowledge is only helpful if results are driven from it and this is my philosophy. Whether it is helping others perform at a higher level, like I do as an instructor of programming for thousands of students, or building tools that increase business efficiencies, I have never drifted too far from that hands on approach I had as a child.
