As an Engineering Manager at Calm, led a team of up to 10 senior engineers across various domains (mobile, backend, and web), driving key initiatives to convert free users to paid subscribers. My collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams (product leadership, lifecycle, marketing, etc.) have resulted in effective quarterly roadmaps, leveraging agile methodologies to prioritize our work. Notably, I've spearheaded projects such as introducing a metered freemium experience, developed a server-based platform for mobile upsells, and conducted pricing optimization tests. Additionally, my role as a hiring manager has allowed me to significantly contribute to team growth and talent acquisition, underscoring my leadership and strategic vision in the tech space.

As a Senior iOS Engineer at Calm, I played a pivotal role in introducing innovative video features to the app, notably the Daily Move and Calm Scroll (an experiment to create a TikTok-like experience tailored for mindfulness content). My expertise in iOS development was crucial in optimizing upsells and enhancing the upsell framework, utilizing StoreKit for In-App Purchases. I spearheaded improvements in deep linking, opening new avenues for marketing initiatives and collaborating with the lifecycle team to refine notification and email journeys, integrating third-party libraries like Iterable and AppsFlyer. Additionally, I served as the tech lead for the team, laying the groundwork for my transition into an official leadership position, where I continued to drive impactful advancements in the app's functionality and user experience.

I moved to New York City in September of 2018 and as a result also switched teams. After a couple years of iOS under my belt, I decided I wanted to stick with it. I spent a few months working on a UI infra team, building out a component library for iOS. For the remainder of my time at LinkedIn, I built stories from the ground up. Optimization was a top priority so in parallel to building the UI piece, I also contributed to the development of a media ingestion platform used to create video across the LinkedIn flagship app.

Midway through 2016, I was given the opportunity to learn iOS development and switched to primarily working on the LinkedIn Learning iOS app. The app was recently launched and built entirely in Swift. Over the next 2 years, I became the tech lead for the iOS learning team.

Started my career at LinkedIn on the security team as a UI engineer working with HTML (JSPs), CSS and JavaScript (mainly vanilla, little bit of jQuery, and some internal LinkedIn frameworks). Some of my first projects were UI changes and updates around login. After several months, I transitioned onto a longer project rebuilding LinkedIn settings. On the UI side, this one me and one other engineer, building it from scratch tech like Backbone, Dust, and Play.About a year and change after joining LinkedIn and working on settings, I moved to the Learning organization working on building and launching LinkedIn Learning. The LinkedIn Learning web application was built primarily with Ember.js. Around June of 2016, I had the opportunity to launch LinkedIn Learning to the public!
