• Conduct a maximum of 4 appointments a day creating relationships with students to help them identify educational goals that can translate to their career aspirations. • Create syllabi and present a 9 week career readiness program to the student veteran population. Tailoring the program to the student’s specific needs so they are prepared for their targeted career interest. • Present annual workshops consisting of topics such as interviewing, choosing a major and cover letter writing to help students identify the key elements of starting a career. • Provide comprehensive career advice utilizing assessments such as MBTI and Strong Interest Inventory for students still undecided on a career or major. • Recruit employers from professional conferences and via LinkedIn to participate in Career Panels. Vetting the appropriate employers that can offer our students the best support ranging from Media and arts major to engineering and biology majors.

Career Development At University College

• Responsible for walk in appointments where I regularly met with about five students a week for resume critics, which I assisted in resume formatting and creating more descriptive bullet points. • Three months into assistantship I was given the responsibility to have scheduled appointments with students to conduct mock interviews and hour long resume reviews. • Personalized each mock interview by role playing with the students to create an interview environment, and developed specific questions based on students submitted job descriptions.• Assisted Program coordinator in researching and creating relevant career information for resume and interview workshops that was delivered on a monthly bases. • Served as the Primary liaison to promote “Networking Night” an event in which I was in charge of the attendance of both students and employers that lead to students networking with potential employers.
