I was a research assistant in a clinical trial that is looking at how exercise throughout the day can affect glycemic responses in pre diabetic patients vs the standard once a day 45 minute workout routine. My role in this internship was screening participants, preparing visits, running visits, and data entry in RedCap.

Responsible of the bedside care of 12 to 16 residents on the floor such as quarterly vitals, blood sugars,catheter care, activities of daily living, ordered food, inputs/outputs, bathroom care, skincare, morning care, care of ICU COVID-19 patients, ventilation care, charted all patient care using Meditech software and reported to my shift nurse as well as physician for abnormalities.

Organic/Inorganic Research of Cambiarenes as a Redox-Active Ligand. Presented two research posters at the Central College Chemistry Research Symposium in front of faculty, and students. Created and helped lead the research with the help of Dr James Dunne. Mentored Underclassman students in the Synthesis and Analysis of Macrocycle. Research involved the Synthesis, Reduction and the Metalation with a Molybdenum compound of Macrocycle. Used laboratory techniques such as Silica column chromatography, Crystallization, Distillation, Separatory funnel extraction, Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, Infrared spectroscopy, and Quenching.
