This team was completely virtual, which required management of development activities across the country.● I negotiated and managed integrations with a dozen different partners, which were critical to building a large customer base. -

This required coordinating all development, project management, and QA teams in transitioning to a new iterative development process. ● I provided technical direction for several joint development projects with other Houghton-Mifflen business units, which helped establish Edusoft as a development leader in the organization. -
Application ArchitectClassroom Connect Feb 2003 - Nov 2005UsClassroom Connect was a provider of K-12 online instructional materials, as well as professional development products for educators.● I led development efforts for two new products: a web based learning management system, and a technology integration portal that seamlessly incorporated all Classroom Connect online products. ● I led technical due diligence for the successful acquisition of another software company.● I designed and implemented single source code generation platform for automated creation of all application domain objects, database schema, O/R mapping configuration files, high level business services, and web service bindings from a single XML source file. Two shipped applications used this platform, reducing development time by an estimated 30%. -
Lead EngineerZ-Tel Communications Jan 2002 - Feb 2003UsZ-Tel was a telecommunications provider that offered telephone services enhanced with Internet-based features.● I was the primary architect for a suite of web services that exposed core business services to several partners. I designed and implemented the first pilot project, which integrated billing services for a nationwide MCI promotional site that scaled in production to millions of transactions a week. -
